Responsibilities: - Teaching: Conduct lectures at both undergraduate and graduate levels, mainly in Hydraulics and Water Sciences. Expect to teach courses such as Specialized Subjects in Water Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Hydraulics Seminar, and Advanced Water Sciences. - Research: Engage in research within the fields of Hydraulics, Hydrology, River Engineering, and Coastal Engineering. - Administrative Duties: Participate in various clerical tasks and committee responsibilities, requiring a proactive attitude towards acquiring Japanese language skills to enhance collaboration with local staff. Qualifications: 1. Education: Ph.D. in a relevant field at the time of application. 2. Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory; willingness to learn Japanese is required. 3. Experience: Demonstrated ability to foster interdisciplinary education and research. 4. Engagement: Willingness to contribute to social contributions and internationalization initiatives. Working Conditions: - Salary: 8 million - 11 million yen per annum for Professors; 7 million - 9 million yen for Associate Professors, based on experience and job role. - Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:45, with a one-hour break. - Holidays: Standard Japanese holidays plus additional leave benefits.
