The successful candidate will conduct theoretical research in condensed matter physics, responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, including first-year physics, and contributing to faculty and departmental management. Department: Department of Physics, School of Science Research Fields: 1. Magnetism, superconductivity and strongly correlated systems 2. Semiconductors, optical properties of condensed matter and atomic physics 3. Mathematical physics and fundamental theory of condensed matter physics 4. Applied physical properties of nanotechnology/materials 5. Biophysics, chemical physics and soft matter physics Employment Type: Regular employee, Tenured position, with a probationary period of 6 months. Salary: Annual Salary: 9 - 13 million yen, determined based on education, experience, and yearly performance evaluations. Includes a lump-sum retirement allowance at the time of retirement. Annual Salary Example: - First Year (15 years experience post-Ph.D.): JPY 9,240,000 (General Example) - Subsequent Years: Minimum: JPY 9,140,000; Standard: JPY 10,280,000; Maximum: JPY 12,410,000 (Note: salaries may vary based on performance.) Working Hours: 08:30-17:15, with a break from 12:15-13:15. The effective working hours under the discretionary labor system are 7 hours 45 minutes per day.
