As a ski guide for Japan Ski Tours, you will lead groups of guests through some of the best skiing locations in Japan. Your responsibilities will include: - Ski Guiding: Lead guests on ski adventures, ensuring their safety and engagement throughout the experience. - Autonomous Decision Making: Make daily decisions on ski locations based on conditions and group dynamics, ensuring a tailored experience. - Group Management: Manage expectations and communications regarding ski conditions, potential changes in plans, and other relevant information. - Expectations Management: Proactively communicate about the day’s ski plans and backup activities in the event of poor skiing conditions. - Evening Hosting: Organize and host evening activities at local restaurants, enhancing the guest experience. - Risk Management: Assess risks on the mountain and ensure the safety and well-being of skiing groups. Employment Details: - Season Duration: December 2024 - March 2025 - Salary: ¥25,000 - ¥40,000 per guiding day, depending on experience and qualifications. - Accommodation: Provided if necessary. - Work Guarantee: At least 52 days without cancellation risk during the 2-month ski season. Qualifications: - Language Skills: Fluency in English and Japanese is highly preferred. - Local Knowledge: Preference for candidates with local experience in Furano or Otaru regions, or previous work experience in Hokkaido. - Driving Experience: Significant experience driving in snowy conditions is crucial. - Certifications: Relevant certifications in medical, avalanche safety, and technical skills preferred. - Experience: A solid background in skiing and group management is essential.
