Key Role: As a Facility Fire Protection Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring fire safety across facilities. Your primary responsibilities will involve identifying fire-related risks and determining effective strategies to mitigate these risks. You will design systems to safeguard against fire hazards and analyze fire safety measures for various structures. Responsibilities: - Analyze, formulate, and recommend facility fire protection requirements, ensuring safety for both personnel and environments. - Lead fire hazard analyses and solution development for facility planning and management. - Examine building uses, industrial processes, and design, install, and maintain fire detection/suppression systems. - Recommend systems for fire mitigation, detection, control, or suppression. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in fire protection engineering. - Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC), National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standards, and industry-standard fire protection measures. - Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. - Professional Engineering Certification. Additional Qualifications: - Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) construction drawing sets. - Knowledge of specialized fire protection systems including wet/dry systems and alarms. - Master’s degree in Engineering preferred. - National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Certification is a plus. This position is based in Uruma City, Okinawa, Japan. The job does not support remote work and is classified under job number R0207246.
