The SkiJapan.com Guest Services Team is looking for friendly, charming, efficient, and smiley English-speaking (bilingual preferred, but not essential) staff to work in our Guest Services Team in Hakuba. Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for dealing with people are a must. Key Responsibilities: - Meeting and greeting guests in the resort. - Safely driving guests to and from the village/resort accommodations during arrival/departure and for intra-village ski shuttles (5 to 20 minutes driving distance). - Providing guests with key local information and assistance. - Availability to work during Christmas and New Year periods. Additional Responsibilities: - Promoting activities such as snowmobiling and cultural tours. - Assisting guests with rental equipment setup. - Performing guest check-ins and check-outs based on information provided. Preferred Experience/Training: - Personal customer service experience (face-to-face). - Travel/tourism experience. - Outdoor education or activity guiding. - Resort/seasonal work experience. - Ski or snowboard experience. Personal Attributes: - Responsible, energetic, and confident with a can-do attitude. - Friendly personality with the ability to be a team player. - Flexible with irregular work hours. Language Requirements: - Must be an English speaker at a business level or higher. - Additional language skills are not essential but welcome. Driving License: - Applicants must possess one of the following licenses: - Driving license issued from Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Taiwan. - International Driving Permit (IDP) under The Geneva Convention on Road Traffic. Visa: - A Working Holiday Visa is required for this position. Remuneration Package: - Hourly rates to be discussed at the interview. - Staff accommodation available. - Ski lift pass (refundable upon contract completion with a clean disciplinary record based on the amount set by Ski Japan). Employment Dates: - 25th November 2025 – 31st March 2026 (Full Season). - 25th November 2025 – 20th February 2026 (Short-Term). As with any seasonal work, hours and dates of work are snow and customer dependent. Flexibility with work dates and hours is required. Working Hours: - Full-time, 5-6 days per week. - Average contracted hours of 36-40 hours per week during winter, more in peak season (late December to mid-February) and less during quieter times.
