Patent Specialist

We are looking for a Patent Specialist who will work on patent applications, rights establishment, and license negotiations in collaboration with Sega and its related departments. Main Responsibilities: - Identify inventions domestically and internationally, file patents, and establish rights. - Conduct patent clearance investigations and analyses to prevent infringement. - Investigate and analyze other companies' patents and products. - Handle license negotiations and disputes. - Distribute information and raise awareness within the company. - Undertake other general responsibilities related to the patent department. Applicant Skill Set: - Practical experience in patents at a company (approx. 10 years or more). - Experience in the entertainment industry (approx. 3 years or more). - Experience in license negotiations and dispute handling. - A strong ambition to tackle patent practices. - Interest and eagerness to learn about new technological fields. - Ability to propose and execute methods for obtaining necessary patents. - Capability to develop patent strategies for business contribution. - Ability to independently perform tasks and build collaboration with others. Preferred Skills: - Attorney-at-law qualification. - Experience in development work. - Experience with one’s own inventions. - Experience in preparing legal documents, such as contracts. - Experience in training patent staff. - Experience in formulating patent strategies. Employment Conditions: - Working hours: Flex time system (Core time: 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM). - Holidays: Complete two-day weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), public holidays, 131 annual holidays, etc. Benefits: - Childcare support system, defined contribution pension, stock ownership plan, side jobs system, etc.
