Seasonal Employment for Winter 2025/2026 Key Responsibilities: - Provide impeccable customer service with a positive, Can-DO! attitude. - Accurately set up rental skis and snowboards. - Fit boots, clothing, helmets, and accessories to customers. - Perform general maintenance of the rental fleet and equipment. - Engage in retail sales and cash/credit processing and balancing. - Maintain snow clearing and store presentation. - Respond to telephone, email, and in-house guest inquiries. - Promote Ski Japan and NBS services to guests. - Act as a reliable local contact for guests during their stay, providing key local information and assistance. - Promote tours and activities, such as snowmobiling and cultural tours. - Assist in Hotel Operations when necessary (rubbish removal and basic cleaning/maintenance). - Occasionally act as a host for guests on cultural tours. Preferred Experience/Training: - Personal customer service experience (face-to-face). - Travel/tourism experience. - Outdoor education or activity guiding. - Resort/seasonal work experience. - Ski or snowboard experience. - Experience with cash/credit card processing/handling. - Familiarity with computerized rental systems. Personal Attributes: - Energetic, confident, and adaptable with a strong can-do attitude. - Exceptional guest experience skills. - Passionate about assisting people with a mature and flexible approach. - Punctual, reliable, organized, and well-presented. - Ability to multi-task and think on your feet. Language Requirements: - Must be an English speaker at a business level or higher. - Additional language skills are welcome but not essential. Driving License Requirements: - Must possess a driving license from one of the following: Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, Taiwan or an International Driving Permit (IDP). Visa Requirements: - Must have or be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa or meet the requirements for a Sponsored working visa. Ski/Snowboard Ability: - Moderate ski/snowboard ability is required for experience and product knowledge, although you don't need to be an expert. Remuneration Package: - Hourly rates will be discussed at interview. - Subsidized lift pass and staff accommodation available. Employment Dates: - Early December 2025 – Early March 2026. - Flexibility with work dates and hours is required, depending on snow and customer demand. Working Hours: - Average of 35 - 40 hours per week during peak season; expect reduced hours during the first and last few weeks of the season.
